Last night, The Black Crowes’ Southern Hospitality tour stopped at Catoosa, OK’s The Hard Rock Live. The reactivated group’s current run has featured a number of bust outs and cover debuts and the trend continued yesterday. A few songs into their extended set, the Crowes revived the Three Snakes and One Charm song “One Mirror Too Many” for the first time since April 23, 2013, before the members of the group parted ways for several years. From there, the ensemble moved right into the next song off that 1996 LP, “Blackberry,” which they had not played live since August 14, 2013.

Those tunes weren’t The Black Crowes’ only track revivals this week. While headlining Lincoln, NE’s Pinewood Bowl Amphitheater on Tuesday, the group dusted off David Bowie’s “The Jean Genie,” marking the first time they have performed the track—which originally appeared on the 1973 LP Aladdin Sane—this year. Then, during their encore, the Crowes surprised the crowd by offering their spin on The Rolling Stones’ “Happy,” from the landmark 1972 release Exile on Main St., for the first time since December 6, 2013. Moreover, this past Saturday at Colorado Springs, CO’s Ford Amphitheatre, the musicians reintroduced the Warpaint original “Whoa Mule” for the first time since November 22, 2013, and last Friday at Riverside, MO’s Morton Amphitheater, they pulled out the Lions cut “No Use Lying” for the first time since November 13, 2013.  

The Black Crowes’ run will resume in Houston, TX tomorrow. As previously reported, members of the band also made use of their day off last week to sit in with Tedeschi Trucks Band at Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks.
