On Nov. 2, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Eddie Vedder each performed short sets of live music for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music’s annual benefit.

RHCP kicked off the festivities with fan favorite “Can’t Stop,” but they were sure to satisfy setlist aficionados with a mid-set version of “Purple Stain” (their first since 2004).

Vedder’s performance came next, and while the Pearl Jam frontman opened with Tom Petty’s “Wildflowers,” he also played a number of PJ cuts including “Wishlist,” “Can’t Keep” and “Better Man.” Vedder also welcomed current RHCP guitarist Josh Klinghoffer for duo performances of John Hannan’s “Society” and Pearl Jam’s “Corduroy.”

However, it wasn’t until later that the full RHCP lineup joined Vedder for a plugged-in take on Prince’s “Purple Rain” and Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower” to end the show.
