Marcus King Band will return to the UK and Ireland with run of shows in February 2020. The tour, consisting of seven shows in eight nights, will take the young guitarist and his band through England, Scotland and Ireland.
This announcement comes on the heels of the news of King’s debut solo record, El Dorado. The album, produced by Dan Auerbach and recorded in his Nashville studio, will be released on Jan. 17. It is available for preorder here.
To celebrate the new batch of European dates, King also dropped a new single from the album, dubbed “Wildflowers and Wine.”
Describing the song via press release, King recalled “driving from South Carolina to see a girl in Virginia. Stopping only to grab a bottle of red wine, and to pick some wildflowers by the interstate. With some help from Dan Auerbach and Ronnie Bowman, the song really came to life lyrically. This is one of my favourite memories and I’m so happy to share it with you.”
Between now and the release of El Dorado, the Marcus King Band will continue to tour relentlessly, with dates throughout the United States through New Years Eve. As for the UK/Ireland run, tickets will go on sale on Nov. 8 at 9 a.m. and can be purchased here.
