The Infamous Stringdusters will release their new album, Live from From Covington Kentucky, Nov. 15 via their own Tape Time Records, and the group has shared a homemade animated video for the live single “Planets” from the effort, along with announcing a batch of winter 2020 tour dates.
“My wife Jasmine and I set out to have some fun and do a short 30-60 second looped stop animation to put in the YouTube video for our release of the live single ‘Planets’—mainly just some eye candy that I thought would be more interesting than having just a photo of the album cover or something,” explains Stringdusters guitarist Andy Falco. “We ended up getting deep in the rabbit hole and inspired to animate the entire video, spending two or three nights working through the night while our daughter was sleeping. We didn’t get much rest, but we had a blast making it, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did creating it.”
Watch the video below and check out another preview of the live album with the Dusters’ fan-favorite cover of Phish’s “Free.” The band’s new tour dates kick off Jan. 16 with the first of four Northwest shows with Yonder Mountain String Band before heading down the West Coast and moving to the Midwest in February.
