Grateful Dead HQ continues their “All The Years Live” video series this week with an acoustic version of Bob Weir’s “Heaven Help The Fool,” shot live in the midst of the band’s two-night Radio City Music Hall run on 10/30/80. (Each show was presented in a three-set format: one acoustic, two electric.)

“This is the only song from Bob’s 1978 solo record Heaven Help The Fool that made it into the Dead’s setlist, aside from the one-time performance of Salt Lake City in 1995,” explains GD archivist/legacy manager David Lemieux. “This was only ever played acoustically, and without vocals, by the Grateful Dead, but they sure did have fun with it.”
