Next week, The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, will host There’s a Reward: A Celebration of the Life & Music of Neal Casal, a benefit concert in memory of the late guitarist who took his own life last month, and a number of musicians have been added to the packed performance, including Soulive guitarist Eric Krasno, Railroad Earth singer-songwriter Todd Sheaffer and Widespread Panic drummer Duane Trucks.
Also joining the lineup are Bay Area staple Jason Crosby, Brooklyn-based violinist/singer Hannah Read and drummer Brad Pemberton, who played with Casal during his time with Ryan Adams & The Cardinals. The new additions join previously announced artists—many of which played with Casal over his career—like Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Beachwood Sparks, Circles Around the Sun, Joe Russo plus his Almost Dead bandmates Dave Dreiwitz, Tom Hamilton and Scott Metzger, Widespread Panic’s Dave Schools, Mapache, Citizen Cope, Leslie Mendelson and many more.
There’s a Reward will take place at The Cap Sept. 25 and will raise money for MusiCares, which provides aid and various resources to musicians in times of need. Tickets and more information can be found here.

September 18, 2019 at 1:38 pmI am surprised no Phil Lesh. Maybe there will be some unannounced guests if it is a sell out, or if not a sell out they name some more names. I saw Neal play with the CRB ten times, HRA once, and CATS once. It will be good to pay my respects and appreciate his life surrounded by so many other people who he affected their lives.
