Grace Potter’s Grand Point North festival wrapped up on Sunday with another day of music including a second headlining set from Potter plus offerings from Gov’t Mule, Lucius, Rainbow Kitten Surprise and more. Before the host’s headlining set, however, she teamed up with Mule frontman Warren Haynes for a special acoustic duo performance.

The two singer-songwriters, who have collaborated multiple times in the past both onstage as well as in the studio, opened their duo set, appropriately, with “Gold Dust Woman,” a tune that Haynes recorded with Railroad Earth for this 2015 album, Ashes & Dust, with Potter guesting on the studio track. Last night’s performance also featured another selection from that LP, “Is It Me Or You,” along with a couple of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young cuts, “Cost of Freedom” and “Ohio,” plus Steve Winwood’s “Can’t Find My Way Home,” Led Zeppelin’s “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You” and Haynes’ “Soulshine.” As the two wrapped up their collaboration with Etta James’ “Etta James,” Potter’s band joined them onstage.

Potter’s own set followed, closing out this year’s Grand Point North with a number of tunes from her days with the Nocturnals as well as cuts from her upcoming album, Daylight (due out Oct. 25), including the live debuts of “Desire” and “Please.”
