Widespread Panic returned to Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre Sunday evening for another sold-out performance at the famed venue (adding to the record they already held of Red Rocks sellouts, making an even 60) that closed out the group’s three-night weekend run and offered plenty of Panic staples along with some choice covers and an extended encore.

In the first set, Panic fit a “Disco” into live favorite “Driving Song” and covered Neil Young’s “Vampire Blues” and Tom Waits’ “Goin’ Out West,” then followed up in the second frame with a jam into “All Time Low” that led into the continuing “Zambi Jam” tribute to the late Col. Bruce Hampton. The second set also included covers of Traffic’s “Low Spark of High Heeled Boys” and Talking Heads’ “Life During Wartime.” Last night’s encore kicked off with their first cover of The Dillards’ “There is a Time,” followed by “The Take Out” and “Porch Song,” with a segue in and out of “The Waker,” a tune penned by late guitarist and founding Panic member Michael Houser, marking just the second rendition since his passing in 2002.
