It’s been quite a week for John Mayer, who announced a North American solo tour and a new TV series. (Not to mention his ongoing work with Dead & Company.)
Adding to Mayer’s ever-growing résumé, fashion bible GQ recently published a profile of the guitarist, showcasing his unique fashion sense.
“My style is about the balance between these highly differentiating, novel, interesting, far-out things and working it into a ‘daily wear’ situation,” Mayer explains. “I’m seeing what I can get away with without making people go ‘Oh, come on.’… and then when you get away with it, you want to do something else that makes someone else go ‘Now what is that?'”
Mayer goes on to describe his penchant for robes, and even rocks a Grateful Dead-inspired “Miracle Ticket” t-shirt.
“I’m just a dude who buys a bunch of clothes,” the guitarist shrugs. “Aren’t we all? We’re all just people who buy a bunch of clothes. And when we put a certain combination on we feel a little bit greater than we did before.”

February 2, 2019 at 11:58 amNick thah Dick can remain in his basement angrily spewing negativity about John Mayer, and what 3 original members of supposedly what one would think were a band that Nick thah dick would have loved,….but he can remain in his basement complaining “get off my lawn” while I am at Wrigley Field for two evening this summer, and a wonderful weekend in a classic city. Ditto Folsom fields maybe, too!

February 1, 2019 at 11:33 amWhy all the Gayer for Mayer news all of the sudden? What does this have to do with Jam Bands music other than he happens to kill the GD legacy with the nostiglia act Dead & Slow cover band? Please…
