SiriusXM’s Jam On channel will once again host Phish Radio later this month in celebration of the band’s return to New York’s Madison Square Garden for another New Year’s Eve run, the satellite radio service announced today.
Last month, Jam On solicited fans for questions to fill another “Ask Trey” Q&A session with Phish frontman Trey Anastasio, and the resulting interview will make up a part of Phish Radio’s offerings. The channel will also include live streams of Phish’s four-night MSG run starting December 28.
Phish Radio returns starting this Monday, December 24, with an Ask Trey session. Jam On’s announcement video, which can be viewed below, also teases interviews with Mike Gordon, Jon Fishman and Page McConnell, with clips of the bandmates discussing Phish’s impromptu onstage spirit. “We walk on stage without a song list because I don’t think that the decision can be made without the audience,” Anastasio says at one point, also noting that he looks over the entire Phish song list every day. Watch the video below.
Jam On can be found on SiriusXM channel 29.

December 12, 2018 at 9:40 pmWhy do they have to take over Jam On? Just put them on their own channel. At least I’ll discover some other channels during the run.

December 13, 2018 at 7:54 amYeah I agree. I like Phish but like other stuff also. Though the article isn’t clear if its Phish 24/7 or just live shows that weekend with an emphasis at other times is it.
