Widespread Panic have shared a taste of their 39th Porch Songs archival release, posting a five-plus minute “Driving Song” circa 1992.

The tune opens the band’s 10/26/92 performance at the famed Tipitina’s in New Orleans. The single-set offering also featured Blues Traveler guitarist Chris Kinchla and late bassist Bobby Sheehan on a set-closing “Chilly Water.”

According to Widespread Panic, “It’s rare to come across many high-quality soundboard recordings from this era. And as you’ll be able to hear, the ‘NOLA 1992’ recording isn’t without its blemishes. Regardless, it’s a lot of fun to listen to, and you can tell the band is having a blast this particular night.”
