Marc Brownstein’s new Star Kitchen side project is ready to hit the road this fall, playing a short run of dates throughout the East Coast.

The band – consisting of Brownstein, Danny Mayer (Eric Krasno Band), Rob Marscher (Addison Groove Project) and Marlon Lewis (Lauryn Hill & John Legend)  – will kick things off at Washington DC’s Gypsy Sally’s on Nov. 8. The will continue on at Pennsylvania’s Ardmore Music Hall and Massachusetts’ Electric Haze, before closing their tour will a Nov. 11 show at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl.

“When we got on stage, we started to get into some really deep, funky, exploratory, vivid jams without a solo going on on top of them, and we were stretching it out a little bit,” Brownstein told Jambands.com of Star Kitchen’s debut at this year’s Electric Forest. “…I was able to finally see what the full potential of this thing is gonna be down the line. The full potential is gonna be mind-expanding improvisation.”
