New Grateful Dead-themed musical Red Roses, Green Gold is currently playing at New York’s Minetta Lane Theatre, and the show recently received a gift from The Jerry Garcia Foundation in the form of an onsite gallery of original Garcia artwork.
The show features a slew of Dead tunes, mostly from the Garcia/Robert Hunter catalog, and boasts musical supervision and arrangements from Dead & Company keyboardist Jeff Chimenti (read our interview with Chimenti on RRGG here, and watch the cast of RRGG perform “Friend of the Devil” in the Relix office here).
The gallery of Garcia artwork is now on display at the Minetta Lane Theatre. See some photos below, and view more here.
