Umphrey’s McGee continued their run through the South with a stop at the Tennesse Theatre in Knoxville for a show that included two notable performances as the band dug deep into their catalog.

In the first set, the band dusted off instrumental “Keefer” for the first time since 2012. The tune was originally written in memory of Chris Keefer, who passed away in 2009. The song has made just seven appearances since then, last appearing at Buffalo in February 9, 2012.

To close the second set, Umphrey’s dipped into their mashup repertoire with “Come Closer,” a mashup that includes The Beatles’ “Come Together” and Nine Inch Nails’ “Closer.” In the encore, the group worked in one more rarity, as they kicked off the two-song encore with “The Weight Around.”

Umphrey’s continue their tour with a slot at Lockn’ Festival this week.
