Joe Russo will launch a new trio this year called Hawaii. The drummer tells Relix / Jambands.com that the new group will also feature pianist Erik Deutsch, who used to play with Russo in Fat Mama, and Wolf!/Cass McCombs bassist Jon Shaw. The band does not have any shows or releases scheduled at the moment, but more information will be revealed in the future.
