This year’s Hangout Music Festival will be headlined by Foo Fighters and Zac Brown Band, who will both make their second appearances at the Alabama festival, as well as Beck. Additional acts include Skrillex, My Morning Jacket, Spoon, Umphrey’s McGee, TV On the Radio, Jenny Lewis, Galactic with Macy Gray, The Lone Bellow, Rubblebucket, Houndmouth and many more.
Charles Bradley and his Extraordinaires, J. Roddy Walston and the Business, Strand of Oaks, Lake Street Dive, Vintage Trouble, Grizfolk, Misterwives and The Districts will also play.
The connections between two of the headliners runs deep, as Dave Grohl recently produced Zac Brown Band’s EP named after the Foo’s frontman. Grohl also performed with the group at the 2013 Country Music Awards. Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflet also recently sat in with Zac Brown Band on a cover of Marshall Tucker Band’s “Can’t You See.” In addition, Zac Brown’s Southern Ground Studios was prominently featured in the Foo Fighters’ documentary Sonic Highways as the band recorded in the studio.
Hangout is slated for May 15-17 on the beaches of Gulf Shores, AL. Tickets are on sale on January 12 at 10 AM ET via the festival’s website.
