Following their performance at the Grammy’s on Sunday, The Beach Boys have now revealed the dates of an extensive 50th Anniversary tour taking place in 2012. The original lineup featuring Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston, and David Marks will kick off a 50-date international tour beginning on April 27th with a headlining performance at the New Orleans Jazz Fest.
The Beach Boys have also confirmed that they have completed tracks for a new studio album being produced by Brian Wilson and executive produced by Mike Love. The group will also put out commemorative catalog releases with Capitol/EMI.
“This anniversary is special to me because I miss the boys and it will be a thrill for me to make a new record and be on stage with them again,” says Brian Wilson.
