New Orleans-based Papa Grows Funk has enlisted some notable area residents to co-produce its forthcoming studio album. The legendary Allen Toussaint and Better Than Ezra’s Tom Drummond shared the duties on Needle In The Groove, which is set for a March 27 release. The first track from Needle In The Groove , entitled “Do U Want It” has just premiered on Relix.com. The group’s next gig will take place at Papa Grows Funk in New Orleans’ d.b.a. on February 19.
