In August, Robert Walter hosted a two-night run at San Francisco, CA’s Boom Boom Room featuring his group Brand New Slang. The shows featured some special guests and stretched into the early morning. On January 27 and 28, Robert Walter’s Brand New Slang will return to the Boom Boom Room for late night shows slated to take place from 9:30 PM-3 AM. In addition to Walker on Hammond B3 and keyboards, this incarnation of the band will bring together bassist Reed Mathis (Tea Leaf Green), guitarist/vocalist Sergio Rios (Orgone), drummer Simon Lott (Charlie Hunter) and saxophonist Joe Cohen (Jazz Mafia). Some additional guests and MCs are expected.
