Ominous Seapods officially parted ways in 2000 but the group has reunited periodically over the years. But the band’s future reunion shows will certainly be few and far between after guitarist Dana Monteith moves to Australia. Fans will have one more chance to see the Ominous Seapods before Monteith’s move when the seminal jamband performs at Albany, NY’s Valentines on December 17. As the Monteith explains, “I’m heading downunder, Australia bound and this may be the last time we perform for your ears live and in person. Love to see you out for some high quality mutation at the Valentines. The location of many a freak out. Special guests, wombat wrestling, belly bucking and some face melting psychedelic rock and roll music. Advance ticket information in the next couple days.”
