As previously reported, ekoostik hookah will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a show at the country’s oldest continually running rock and roll venue, Columbus, OH’s Newport Music Hall, on March 12. Founding hookah members Steve Frye and John Mullins will open the night with their current project and sit in with hookah during its show. The band also now confirmed that hookah alumni Don Sefranek will also join his former band during set. In addition, the show will now be filmed for a future DVD release. The band has also released the following statement about the show: “In order to provide the best environment for this project no other video or audio recording will be allowed that evening. We hope you can join us all for what will prove to be a great night of music, video, and a one time celebration of the twenty year milestone so few bands ever reach.”
