BuzzUniverse hosted its third-annual Rocks Off Concert Cruise in New York City this past Friday. The show took place aboard the Half Moon and featured a DJ set by “Rockin” Rodney Speed, a former Wetlands staff member and longtime character on the jamband circuit. Speed also joined the members of BuzzUniverse onstage at the end of its set to sing on a cover of The Who’s “The Seeker.” In addition, original BuzzUniverse band member Freddie Moises sat in with the band for the first time since February 2007. He appeared on staples like “In The Sun” and “The Hour,” as well as the live debut of “Voices Call.” BuzzUniverse will perform at Ghent, NY’s The Big Up Festival on August 6 and will appear with Turbine at New York’s Mercury Lounge on September 10.
