Gregg Allman kicked off a solo tour with his Friends band in the northeast earlier this week. His current solo band includes: Floyd Miles (vocals/percussion), Scott Sharrard (guitar), Jerry Jemmott (bass), Bruce Katz (keyboards), Steve Potts (drums) and Jay Collins (horns). In addition to reworked Allman Brothers staples like “Statesboro Blues,” “Dreams” and “Melissa,” Allman’s current setlist features solo hits such as “I’m No Angel” and rarer ABB cuts like “Please Call Home.” Allman also plays electric guitar on a few songs each night, including “One Way Out” and “Whipping Post.”

The band will perform at Peekskill, NY’s Paramount Center for the Arts this Saturday.
