Brett Dennen has re-recorded his original composition “Heaven” as a duet with Natalie Merchant. The new song—an update of a track featured on 2008’s __Hope For The Hopeless__—is slated for release as an iTunes download on September 1. “Heaven” will then impact Triple A radio on September 14. Dennen enlisted Merchant to record the song in upstate New York in the midst of a busy summer that included appearances at Bonnaroo, Mountain Jam and Rothbury, a string of support dates for O.A.R. and a slew of solo shows. Dennen will appear at festivals like Outside Lands, Bumbershoot and ACL, before kicking off a national tour with Grace Potter & the Nocturnals.
