As we previously reported, on March 26, Bob Weir, Rob Wasserman and Jay Lane will performing as Scaring The Children at the Fillmore in San Francisco. Also on the bill is Band of Brotherz, which is another of Lane’s projects. The group describes its sound as ‘Revolutionary Urban Music, threatening a Higher Level of Social Consciousness with an Infectious Danceable Groove, seamlessly blending Hip Hop, Live Instruments, Samples, Politics, Alien Technology, Reggae, Revolution, Bong Hits, Freedom, Poetry, Justice, Tofu Products and World Peace.’ At the Fillmore, the group will be performing Deadbeatz, which at its core, offers hip hop echoes of Grateful Dead compositions. Prior to then, Band of Brotherz will appear at SXSW, with a March 20 gig at Opal Devines in Downtown Austin.
