Matisyahu’s latest studio effort, which carried him to Jamaica and various U.S. locales is set for an April 21 release on Epic Records. Light was produced by David Kahne (Paul McCartney, Regina Spektor) and recorded and mixed in Jamaica as well as both coasts of the United States. Legendary reggae rhythm section Sly & Robbie appear on four tracks, Fishbone’s Norwood Fisher contributes to two songs, the Glitch Mob’s Ooah lends his efforts to two, and The Fyre Dept (Eric Krasno and Adam Deitch) are on one. Matisyahu has yet to announce an upcoming tour but will appear on February 22 at the Bell House in Brooklyn.
