Superfly Presents has announced the initial line-up for its annual Superfly During Jazzfest concert series. As with past years, the promoter will offer up a number of performances on the Riverboat Creole Queen. The first confirmed show, on Thursday, April 30, will feature New Orleans’ own Galactic appearing with a number of area residents: Walter ‘Wolfman’ Washington, Trombone Shorty and Big Sam. In addition, on May 2, Death Cab for Cutie will perform at the Contemporary Arts Center with support from Matt Costa and Ra Ra Riot. Additional shows in the series are yet to be announced, while tickets for these two gigs go on sale on Saturday, January 31 at superflypresents.com.
