This Saturday at Florida’s Bradenton Auditorium a concert will take place to aid Frankie David Toler. The funds will aid the drummer as he recovers from a liver transplant and assist with ‘hospital bills, rejection drugs, housing, transportation, food and everyday living expenses while recovering.’ Appearing at the event will be Toler’s brother, guitarist Dangerous Dan Toler as well as the Outlaws, Gwen Fogts All-Star Band, John Townsend, Johnny Hiland Band, Michael Allman, Billy Rice and many others. Frankie David Toler put in a brief stint with the Allman Brothers Band in the mid-80s, and also has gigged and recorded with Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts & Great Southern and the Marshall Tucker Band. In addition to the benefit, a ‘Frankie Toler Medical & Living Assistance Fund’ has been established.
