This coming weekend, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe will return to the stage with Robert Walter’s 20th Congress, as both bands reassemble for Friday and Saturday gigs at the Crown Room in Crystal Bay, NV. The two groups also will share the stage on December 23 (Belly Up, Aspen CO) and December 27 (Belly Up, Solana Beach CA) before Denson and Walter rejoin the Greyboy Allstars on a New Year’s Eve bill with George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic in San Francisco (Warfield) and once again on January 2 in Los Angeles (Club Nokia). Looking ahead, GBA has just announced six additional shows for February. The bands will travel to Arizona and perform at the Orpheum Theater in Flagstaff on the 7th and then Tucson’s Rialto Theater on the 8th. Then, following a February 15 gig at the Crystal Ballroom, in Portland OR, the group will spend a few days in Colorado, with stops in Ft. Collins (Aggie Theatre, 2/19), Boulder (Fox Theatre, 2/20) and Denver (Ogden Theatre, 2/21).
