Earlier this week, eight-year-old Japanese guitar prodigy Yuto Miyazawa entered the Guinness World Records as the world’s youngest professional guitar player. He celebrated the achievement last night in New York City at the B.B. Kings Blues Club. There he took the stage at the outset of a performance by the Zen Tricksters. Miyazawa offered lead guitar during a version of ‘Crossroads’ that opened the night before Jeff Mattson returned to the fore during a Jerry Garcia Celebration. Also on hand was Donna Jean & the Tricksters vocalist Wendy Lanter, who contributed to ‘Franklin’s Tower’ and ‘One More Saturday Night.’
