moe. has made Portland, ME a regular stop since first hitting New England in the early 1990s, gradually growing from intimate venues like Geno’s to the Pier Revue. In 2005, moe. even recorded portions of its live/studio hybrid The Conch at Portlands State Theatre. Before the groups recent show at Portland, MEs Pier Revue, Mayor Ed Suslovic awarded moe. the prestigious Key to the City for their performance in support of the homeless services agency Preble Street. In other charitable moe. news, last month the quintet also played a private show for students at Utica, NYs Bradley Elementary, which raised money for the school’s music department, and the band recently donated instruments and recording equipment with the help of sponsors like D’Addario and Telefunken USA. moe. will perform at Tulsa, OKs DFEST this evening.
