Govt Mule will release its most recent Halloween performance as a two-disc set this spring. The groups October 31, 2007 performance at St. Paul, MN’s O’Shaughnessy Theatre found Govt Mule running through a complete version of Led Zeppelins Houses of The Holy with the aid of guest guitarist Audley Freed. The Holy Haunted House performance, as the set is known to members of the Mule Army, has been a Mule Tracks favorite for some time and will now be remixed and released on CD. The CD will also include the evening’s entire first set and encore, the latter of which included a segue connecting Come On Into My Kitchen and 32/20 Blues.
In other Govt Mule news, the bands upcoming performances at New Orleans The Contemporary Arts Center (5/2-3) will celebrate the 5th Anniversary of their legendary Deepest End concert. Throughout the night, the band will be joined by a number of surprise guests and, one would imagine, the evenings opening act, Grace Potter.
