Later this month, Kyle Hollingsworth will return to the stage with a new band for three Colorado Dates. The String Cheese Incident keyboard player will draw together a number of Boulder-based musicians in a group that will feature Ross Martin, Dave Watts, Liza Oxnard, Matt Spencer, Jans Inger and both an as yet unnamed kora player as well as a DJ. Hollingsworth explains, ‘The show will be a mix of funk, world beat and turntables including tunes from my years with SCI as well as new material. So come leap into the new year and help me celebrate my 40th b-day.’ The Kyle Hollingsworth Band will appear at Hodi’s Half Note in Ft Collins on February 28 followed by shows at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver on February 29 and a March 1 gig at Boulder’s Fox Theatre.
