As we’re previously reported, next Wednesday God Johnson will host Hallo-Wonka-Ween at the Cabooze. The group, which is fronted by former Big Wu guitarist Jason Fladager, will offer a Willie Wonka motif for the evening (as some will recall, moe. did in Halloween 99 at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom). Just over three weeks later, however, God Jonson will offer another special themed-evening as ‘God Johnson Stops Making Sense’ at Trocadero’s Nightclub in Minneapolis. On Saturday November 24 (two days after thanksgiving) the band will interpret the Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense release, with a number of guest performers, including Fladager’s former bandmate Al Oikari on keys.
