This weekend guitarist Will Bernard will perform two notable San Francisco gigs. First up, this evening at 12 Galaxies, he will headline a bill with the Will Bernard Band that also will feature recent New Groove of the Month, Big Organ Trio, as well as Bulk. This will be a Falcor and Friends event in association with Guitar Player magazine, which will be on hand distributing swag. Then on Saturday night, Bernard will be part of a quartet backing Marco Benevento. This show will take place at the Boom Boom Room, with Max MacVeety (drums, Crown City Rockers), Adam Theis (trombone, Brass Mafia/Cannonball Horns) and Joe Cohen (sax, Brass Mafia/Cannonball Horns) also confirmed to appear along with additional guests. For a bit more on Benevento, check out Jared Hechts current feature on the keyboard player.
