Last night Bob Weir & RatDog performed at Lowell, MAs Boarding House Park as part of a 50th anniversary tribute to Jack Kerouacs On the Road. This show included a Q & A session with Weir and Grateful Dead biographer Dennis McNally, who first entered the Grateful Deads world after penning the biography Desolate Angel: Jack Kerouac, the Beat Generation, and America. After years on the road himself as the Dead and RatDogs publicist, McNally made his way onstage with Weir last night, reading selections from On the Road before a cover of On the Road Again and The Other One.
All six members of RatDog will sing the National Anthem at Bostons Fenway Park before the Red Sox take on the Tampa Bay Devil Rays tonight. The group will then begin a run of shows with the Allman Brothers Band tomorrow at Bristow, VAs Nissan Pavilion.
