Phix, the Phish trbiute band which first came together in mid-2001 during the quartets hiatus, will now emulate the group it covers with a final weekend of shows. Earlier this year, Phix announced that it would wrap things up over the course of 2007 to focus on its members original music. Now the musicians will conclude their present incarnation as Phix with three dates in their native Colorado. The first will take place on Friday, August 3rd at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver. This will be followed by a two-night stand at the State Bridge Lodge in Bond on August 4 and 5 which, in a nod to Phishs farewell festival has been dubbed, quite aptly, Covertry.
