Over the past few years, Dr. Dog, Elvis Perkins, Cold War Kids and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah have formed an artistic alliance, touring together, collaborating onstage and citing each other in the press. When asked about their favorite moments from 2006 in our annual Jambands.com Year in Review, Dr. Dog and Cold War Kids even both unknowing nodded to each other. Since Bonnaroo is known for its unexpected collaborations, it makes sense that the longtime friends performed together in a variety of settings over the weekend. On Saturday, Perkins, Cold War Kids and Clap Your Hands Say Yeahs Alec Ounsworth, who made the trip down to Manchester, TN as a fan, performed each others songs backstage for the media, before venturing over to This Tent to take in Dr. Dogs performance. On Sunday, Ounsworth watched Perkins set from the side, before joining the guitarist for Doomsday.
