Govt Mule and Robert Randolph were two of the bands who played Simpsonville, SCs Freedom Aloft Festival last Friday. As he has at many festivals, Randolph used the occasion to showoff his pedal steel chops Govt Mule onstage. Randolph emerged during Govt Mules set for Many Rivers To Cross and returned during the groups encore for That’s What Love Will Make You Do. Also of note, after discussing his experience playing a festival with Deep Purple on Relixs Cold Turkey, Warren Haynes teased the hard-rock bands Smoke On The Water during Sco-Mule. Both Govt Mule and Randolph will appear at Hunter, NYs Mountain Jam this coming weekend.
