While the core of Soulive remains Eric Krasno, Alan Evans and Neal Evans, the band has expanded on a few occasions over the years. For a while, Sam Kininger added brass as a fourth member of the group (after which he contributed to the band’s extended horn section). A bit later, Reggie Watts toured with Soulive as a de facto number four. Now the group is a quartet once again as Toussaint has signed on to contribute lead vocals. Toussaint, who also will continue to perform with the China Band, appears on the forthcoming Soulive release _ No Place Like Soul_, which is set for a July 31 release on the relaunched Stax Records.
