Tonight the MSG Network will air the second of five Jammys Live episodes. Each one hour program will present a number of musical collaborations from Jammys past along with backstage footage, artist interviews, and award presentations. Tonights installment, which will air at 11PM and then again at 1AM, includes Gov’t Mule with Gregg Allman, Derek Trucks, and Trey Anastasio revamping Soulshine, Dr. John, Toots Hibbert, George Porter Jr., Brian Stoltz, JoJo Herman and Matt Abts joining forces on ‘Hey Pocky A-Way’ and Phil Lesh performing with Ryan Adams & the Cardinals on Wharf Rat. Leshs performance with Ryan Adams and the Cardinals is particularly memorable and marks the first time the strange bedfellows collaborated onstage. The paired performers have gone on to both perform together and cover each others material with their solo projects.
