For a few weeks now, one of the slots at the 2006 Mountain Jam Music Festival has been earmarked for Very Special Guests. The identity of those guests has now been confirmed as My Morning Jacket will perform in this slot, which will take place from 5:30-7:00 on Sunday June 4. The event which is being produced by Warren Haynes and WDST, Radio Woodstock, will take place on June 3 and 4 at Hunter Mountain in Hunter, NY. In addition to two days of Govt Mule, other confirmed artists include: Keller Williams, Medeski, Martin and Wood, Mike Gordon & Ramble Dove, Benevento-Russo Duo, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, DJ Logic, The Slip, Rose Hill Drive, The Wood Brothers and many more.
