Electron returned to the stage this weekend for the first time in sixteen months for performances at New Yorks BB King Blues Club and Philadelphias Theater of the Living Arts. Release parties for the groups first album, This is Electron, both shows featured original Electron members Marc Brownstein, Aron Magner, Joe Russo and Tom Hamilton, as well as former Fat Mama percussionist Kevin Kendricks. Friday night at BB Kings Russo also invited out his occasional G.R.A.B-mate Mike Gordon who played electric guitar for portions of the groups second-set. Gordon also favored guitar over bass when he joined Russo and Brownsteins L Cool Trio at the Knitting Factory in January. A night later onetime Electron keyboardist Tom McKee also emerged at the Theater of the Living Arts for a version of Brothers Pasts Simple Gift of Man.
