Rob Barraco has announced the roster of his new group the Dragonflys, which will also feature Jimmy Herring on guitar along with Rob Friedman, Doug Yowell and Jeff Allen. The group will open for Phil & Friends at Red Rocks on July 16 after which Barraco and Herring will remain on stage to perform in Lesh’s band. The Dragonflys inaugural tour opens two nights earlier at the Fox Theater in Boulder and continues though July, eventually routing to the south and up to the northeast. Barraco’s solo debut disc, which features numerous songs he wrong with Robert Hunter, is scheduled for release a bit later this summer.
