Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare, who have been performing and producing partners for thirty years, are working with Michael Franti on his forthcoming release. Franti will be traveling to Sly and Robbie’s homeland of Jamaica for these sessions which will feature contributions from Spearheads Carl Young and Dave Shul, while Sly and Robbie will lend their signature drums and bass. In the interim, Franti has a few west coast Spearhead dates this week before traveling to Australia to perform at the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival.
