Umphreys’s McGee’s performances at Chicago’s Riviera Theatre on December 30 and 31 offer two intriguing openers. On the 30th, fresh off his tour with Colonel Claypool’s Bucket of Bernie Brains, Buckethead will open the evening. On New Year’s Eve, Mini-Kiss, the tribute band that is slighter shorter only in physical stature will open. Umphrey’s in in Chicago tonight for a sold out show at the House of Blues.
