This weekend the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and North Mississippi All Stars are performing together for two nights at the Georgia Theatre. The bands will play this evening and Saturday at the Athens venue with Rising Star Fife & Drum opening both shows. While the two headliners are in town they will be performing free afternoon gigs at School Kids Records, which is located at on 264 E. Clayton Street. The Dozen will march to the store New Orleans parade style this afternoon at 4:30 from the Arches (located on Broad Street and College Ave at the edge of UGA Campus) for a brief set at 5PM. On Saturday the Allstars are scheduled to perform at 4PM.
