The second solo recording from Soulive drummer Alan Evans has just been released. Let it Ride features ten tracks written and produced by Evans with a number of other musicians contributing as well, including his brother and Soulive bandmate Neal, Cheme Gastelum, Sam Kininger, Aaron Bellamy and Mike Feingold. Evans explores a bit more of his old school soul and funk affinities on this disc, which can be downloaded on-line and purchased at the merch table on the current Soulive tour which picks up at the Opera House in Toronto on Thursday.
