Despite some initial concerns regarding the weather, HarvestFest did indeed take place this past weekend at LaFayette, GA. Given the nature of the event there was plenty of musical cross-pollination. For instance, Karl Denson and two of his Tiny Universe bandmates, Brian Jordan and Chris Littlefield played much of the night with RatDog, appearing during both of the band sets including a second set from a ‘Playing In The Band’ Jam into ‘Loose Lucy’ which segued into ‘Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo ‘ and then into ‘Estimated Prophet.’ On Friday, Perpetual Groove’s Brock Butler joined Old Union for ‘Message From The Maker,’ and Later in the set, the band was joined by Mile 8 guitarist guitarist Randy Boen stepped in for ‘Midnight Angel.’
