Bassists Victor Wooten, Oteil Burbridge, and Steve Baily will team up with drummer Derico Watson for a series of intimate performance at New Yorks Iridium, beginning Tuesday, September 14. The quartet will perform two-shows an evening through September 19, with a third late night set scheduled for Friday and Saturday night. Anthony Jackson, whose credits include Paul Simon and Steely Dan, will join his fellow bassmen at the Iridium on September 17 and 18.

Wooten, Burbridge, and Watson performed a series of foreign dates earlier this year, making their stateside debut at The Jammys last March. In their 12 years of collaboration, Wooten and Baily have released a series of Bass Extremes videos and CDs, with Burbridge contributing to the duos two most recent projects. Watson is best known for his work in the Victor Wooten Band, a collective which features several of the bassists brothers.

With the Flecktones off the road for 2005, Wooten will likely devote a large part of the next year to his Bass Extreme project. In the meantime, be sure to checkout Burbridge, Wooten, and Watson on The Jammys HDTV spot, hitting the air soon.
